Get to know me: My name is Melissa Nichols and I am so excited to join Escambia Academy this year. I have a BS degree in Human Development from The University of Alabama and a BS degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of South Alabama. I have been teaching at Rachel Patterson Elementary School for the past 35 years. I have taught third grade, Kindergarten and first grade. For the past five years, I was the Reading Intervention teacher. I retired this past May and look forward to continuing my teaching career as the Elementary Reading Intervention teacher at EA. I can not wait to meet my little cougars!!
