Get to know me: My name is Larry Nichols. I’m from Uriah, AL and am a current resident of Atmore. I have been a part of the EA family for 10 years. This will be my 1st year serving as Assistant Head Coach for football. I coach the running backs and safety. This will be my 5th year coaching football and my 2nd year coaching Varsity/JV basketball at EA. Last year, our JV Boys’ Basketball Team won their first ever State Championship. I have served on the EA Board of Directors for two years. I had two kids graduate from Escambia Academy, and I have a 7th grader there who is a JV Cheerleader and plays on the JV Volleyball team. My wife, Rika is the secretary/registrar at EA. I’m proud to be a part of the EA family, and I look forward to a fantastic year. Go, Cougars!

Get to know me: My name is Michael Gibbs. I am from Brandon, MS where I attended Northwest Rankin High School. I played football, soccer and baseball there. I went on to play football collegiately at Hinds Community College for two seasons and at Delta State University for two seasons. There I received numerous accolades including 1st team All-American and Gulf South Conference All-Decade Team. I’ve spent the last 7 years coaching D-1 football. I enjoy outdoor activities like golf, hunting and fishing.
I am excited to be at Escambia Academy because of the family atmosphere and the opportunity to develop kids academically, spiritually and athletically. Go, Cougars!

Get to know me: I am Rider Jernigan. I am from Brewton, AL where I attended TR Miller. I ran track and cross country from 7th-12th grade and also participated in band. I went on to run at the collegiate level at the University of Mobile where I served on the university ministries team and was heavily involved in student life. Outside of school my favorites things to do are hanging out with friends and spending time with my family.
I am excited to coach the Cross Country and Track programs here at EA. It has been a dream of mine since I started running. I am also excited to see how God moves in and throughout the classroom every day. As always GO COUGARS!
