Alan Ash an Escambia Academy 2009 Alumni completed the 2016 Boston Marathon with a time of 02:31:16 and overall place of 39th. (As of 12:54 pm unofficial results). We will post official results when released.
Alan ran cross country while attending Vanderbilt. He is now a sociology teacher and cross country coach at Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery.
His 2009 1600 meter run is still AISA record with a time of 4:34.86
This is not his first Boston Marathon and improves his time each year.

Alan is son of Dale and Alan Ash both mother and father are EA Alumni. Alan’s brother Matthew also graduated from EA.
